Your Morning Coffee 09/16/2022

Good morning!

Welcome to your morning coffee! May our Heavenly Father remind us that he is our father, and not the other way around. Father, help us to trust you, to entrust our whole selves to who you say you are. You are good. You are love. You are worthy of our worship, our praise, our obedience. Help us to submit our hearts and minds to your will, Father. In the name of your son Jesus and by the power of the Spirit, he who lives within us, make us able to live the abundant life of those who trust in you!

Your Morning Song: "Your Love is Strong" by Jon Foreman

Your Morning Scripture: Psalm 107:1

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,

for his steadfast love endures forever!

...

What does it look like to entrust our whole selves to God's goodness? What is a practical way that we can live as those who truly believe that his steadfast love actually does endure forever?

Sometimes God answers our prayers, our questions, our concerns, not by giving us a detailed explanation, but by asking us to trust him. To trust who he is.

God is good. And his love endures forever.

If this is true, we can trust that whatever is answer to our question, his solution to our suffering, we can trust that it is the best possible answer, the best possible solution. We can trust his goodness and love. We can rest in who he is without having to have God explain himself to us. He will not bow to our insecurities or our pride.

Will we entrust our well-spring hearts to the perfect trustworthiness of God's goodness? Will we prune and work the garden of our thought-life according to God's steadfast, enduring love?
